Ferrari Challenge North America continues its season with a stop to the 3.4-mile circuit in 2022 (May 20-22, 2022). The series was established in 1993 and the events are FIA-approved with high safety standards and excellent organization with the Italian manufacturer. The Northeast Region PCA is hosting an event at Watkins Glen International. ‘From a technical perspective, Drivers Education (DE) is a program developed by PCA to give drivers the opportunity to learn how to drive their cars on real racetracks in a safe, controlled and fun environment. Typically a DE event is run over 2 or 3 days. Each day usually has four or five driving groups (divided by experience and skill level) on track four times for 20 to 30 minutes each session. To ensure maximum safety and fun you're placed in a run group with other drivers with similar experience and skill levels. Paired with Friday’s Grand Prix Festival in downtown Watkins Glen, the Grand Prix weekend is a true celebration of the motorsport’s past, along with the cars and people who have made it what it is today. Founded in 1995, the Sports Car Driving Association (SCDA) provides the driving enthusiast the opportunity to experience high performance driving in a safe and controlled environment. Audi CCA, NEQ Region is hosting an event at Watkins Glen International. ‘Our High Performance Driving Schools are suitable for all skills levels from Novice to Expert. The school combines classroom and on-track instruction in a closely supervised and controlled environment. Students are divided into “run groups” according to their prior experience and evaluations from previous schools. The Northeast Region PCA is hosting an event at Watkins Glen International. ‘From a technical perspective, Drivers Education (DE) is a program developed by PCA to give drivers the opportunity to learn how to drive their cars on real racetracks in a safe, controlled and fun environment. Typically a DE event is run over 2 or 3 days. Each day usually has four or five driving groups (divided by experience and skill level) on track four times for 20 to 30 minutes each session. To ensure maximum safety and fun you're placed in a run group with other drivers with similar experience and skill levels. Trackmasters organizes track events with managed passing rules, allowing students and experienced drivers to safely learn to drive at high rates of speed.
Genesee Valley Chapter BMW Club is hosting an event at Watkins Glen International. ‘GVC’s Ultimate Driving School teaches advanced driving techniques, and is the main component of our High-Performance Driver Education (HPDE) program. Our school integrates in-car instruction with classroom learning, and often includes extras such as infield paddock exercises, and guided “track walks”. Our schools are currently conducted at Watkins Glen International, and are run in compliance with the strict minimum driving school standards established by the BMW Car Club of America.
